I've been trying to use the EMA at 50 and 200 days to see when golden crosses are appearing. However, I notice when I plot this in Yahoo Finance, the EMAs change when I switch between the 5 day view, 6month view, etc. I understand you're seeing a wider range, so it should "zoom out" but I looks like crosses are appearing in the daily views and aren't even coming close to crossing in the monthly views. Do the periods in Yahoo Finance represent days, or do they change based on which view you're in?
