I've been looking at SPDRs for my next long-term investment (about $4k or so) and I saw that relative to the other S&P sectors, biotech and pharm are down much more in the last year. It looks like it has hit two bottoms, once in October and once in January, but I don't know any technical details to know if this is just the beginning of a much longer slide.
What I can't figure out, however, is why the sector is driving so far down. Does anyone know any story driving this?
