Is there an optimal buy price when considering trade fees?

I started using Getstocks last week and I'm loving it already.

I'm still learning but my stocks are doing well so far. I'm curious as to how much I should invest in a stock as a minimum due to the £7.50 trade cost as I understand I have to pay this when I sell to.

Just wondering what others buy as a minimum. £100? £1,000? £5,000? Maybe it depends on what you forsee as a rise in share price?
