Will a strong earnings season over the next 2 months stop the bleeding in tech and beyond?

I'm still totally new at this and maybe this is a naive point of view but it seems to me like stock prices should reflect company performance, earnings, top and bottom lines, and forward guidance, etc. - as opposed to the uncertainty and turbulence caused by the Trump administration.

Will a round of strong earnings reports and solid performance for stocks coming up in April and May reverse the downward trend? Why would investors continue to sell companies with strong financials, strong earnings, and positive forward guidance?
