Hey everyone. So, I live outside the US and finding brokers for non-local stocks has been a true ordeal for me. Most brokers here require absurd amounts of deposit for opening an account ($5000 and up) and on top of that they have absurd fees ($25 per trade).
I searched brokers in America and most of them require too much paperwork and that you have an account with an American bank but then American banks have absurd deposit requirements.
So I finally found Interactive Brokers, they have low fees($1 per trade), work with local banks and don't require much paperwork. Sounds too good to be true to me. So how's your experiences been with IB? Are there hidden fees etc? They have good reviews on ınvestopedia and elsewhere but I would like to hear your opinions.
