So, we got homework from one of our IT studies to create a program based on dividend and historical data of 45 stocks downloaded as CSV files from finance yahoo website(that's the requirement he gives us).
Problem is that we do not really understand stock and stuff. The goal of the software is to be able to convince our teacher on why should he buy this or that stock by showing graphics and data that we have downloaded (he said that he will be the stock trader, any method of programming is fine as long as the result is delivered).
Our questions are:
-) For the graphics based on historical data, which is better about basing the price, as in there's open, low, high, close price. Which should be the one that will be shown on our graph?
-) What is it that stock trader found valuable when analyzing stuff like history and dividend data of many different stocks?
