Biiiiiiig fat gap in the market again today! This time to the upside and surprisingly it held. Bulls are still in control as far as I can see but it wouldn't surprise me to see things get a bit choppy up here. The consolidation from that last big rally wasn't really clean and to gap through all the highs like this is just not healthy IMO, so I think we might be looking at a slopfest over the next couple weeks. Either way, intraday action is still ok and I am starting to see some old names come back around (ELON for example today had a nice pop back from the dead, and we are starting to see hints of buying in high momentum names like ICLD, DHRM, YOD, etc) I like the action overall. I had an ok day which started out really boring but managed to turn out ok by the end...still nothing really impressive with only $225 in gains . I am looking forward to the time when the intraday action becomes a bit less "pop and fadey" as there are stocks making huge moves intraday but they never seem to hold lately, so it is affecting my trading since I'm the type of person that will take a position and try to let it run all day, but you need to be very agile in this market since that doesn't really work. Anyway, here are some ideas for tomorrow:
ALIM long over $7.20. I tried this one today and hit it 7.06, sold half at 7.60 and then it faded the entire gain back to flat so it was pretty lame, but I still think it's only a matter of time before it pops and takes off to $9-10
RMTI long over $13 - another I tried today with no love. I think it's almost ready.
SHOR long over $9 for a flag break tonight. Target in the $9.50s for a day trade
JAKK long over $7.35 for a big range break/flag break after earnings beat a few days ago. Target in the $8-8.50 range
CSIQ long over $44.50 for a breakout. Other solars are hot too (JKS, JASO, TSL, etc)
CNAT attempt #2 at that $12.50 level. Soon enough this one will blow IMO.
Let me know whatcha got!
Chris
DISCLAIMER: I am a day/swing trader. LONG means I'm expecting price to go up, not that it's a long term trade. SHORT means I'm expecting price to go down, not that it's a short term trade. Just because I post these here does not necessarily mean I'm buying/shorting them. They are ONLY ideas, may not be traded at all, and if I do take them, 99% of the positions will be closed by the end of the day. One other thing...any swing recommendations should be taken w/ extreme caution - lock in some profits as I am not checking these to see if they have earnings or anything before posting, so if they do they could make crazy moves. Do your own DD on them. If ya have any questions, feel free to ask below and as always, share your ideas too. The more the merrier!
