College Student wanting to start investing.

I am new here and have been reading/lurking for about a month. I've decided that I want to just invest into the S&P 500 (for now) and put at least $2,000 a year, starting this year, into that and just see my money grow (hopefully). How and where do I start? Any book recommendations for me? Any and all help appreciated!
