Is Robbie Burns "Naked Trader" strategy applicable to the U.S. Market?

I'm in the U.S. and I'm just getting into the market. I'm learning and know very little. I came across Robbie Burns and his approach seems ideal for a beginner. Very simple and straight to the point. Is his strategy applicable to the US market only only UK?
