Buy inverse ETFs during earnings season then sell?

Analysts have been forecasting a possible 7% to 8% decline in the market over the next month or so due to the belief that this will be a very poor earnings season, maybe the worst since 2009. What are your thoughts on buying, say, $SPXS and holding until earnings season is over?
