There are sites where you can bet on the future like for politics or weather or sports or any kind of important event. Its a zero sum 0-$1 range stock game. If you buy a share of an event for 60 cents, that means either someone sold you that share for 60 cents or someone else bought a 40 cent share at the same time to trade with you. From this point on, if everyone did nothing, someone would win and the other lose. If the 60 cent share you bought meant YES Donald Trump will be the GOP nominee and the 40 cent share means someone else bought NO Donald Trump will lose. If Donald Trump wins, you gain 40 cents from each 60 cent share purchased. Winners share price always close at a $1 and losers close at $0.. You can buy stocks of a person or event happening/not happening thinking its likely to win. The more likely betters see something being a sure thing, the closer its stock price rises to $1. When it happens, the market pays out $1 for every 1-99 cent share purchased if it comes true and $0 if your wrong.
More fun that the stock market?
How do you feel about this compared to the stock market?
