looking to invest but I've never even look at the stock market

I'm not going to lie I'm very young to be investing, I'm fresh out of high school and I'm very interested in the stock market to see what i can make of it and maybe find a new passion for life but I've never really learned anything about buying or selling stocks and frankly I'd rather not waste my time or money with pointless endeavors. I've also considered going to some sort of investing firm that might help me invest wisely but I'm also afraid that i wont be taken seriously because of my age. so I'm taking to Reddit to ask for help, and see if someone can give me some good advice as to where to start and maybe what i should do to learn about the stock market.
