Recently transferred money from savings to E*TRADE account, how long until I can invest?

As the title says, I recently transferred a bit of cash from my savings account to my E*TRADE account. I'm new to this thing, and wondering why it says my bet account value has the money I transferred but the cash isn't under "available for investment" if anyone could clarify for me I would really appreciate it.
