Stock Watch: Platform for a stock market beginner (UK)

Hi everyone,

I've always been contemplating the idea of trading stocks, but never really had the drive until now. I'm looking into DEGIRO as my first platform for trading. I did like the look of Robinhood as well however it's not available to me in the UK. If theres any advice on a platform to start on for someone living in the UK i'm open to suggestions.
