Hey there! I am fairly new to this sort of trading. Here is what I am looking for. I am an investor who is interested in focusing on low budget ETF trading, specifically Foreign Market and Sector/Industry ETFs. I would like to invest a very small lump sum in the beginning (1000-5000). And see where that goes. Over time (or if I need to) I may add more into my account from my pocket.
As I first start out and am trying to figure this type of trading out, I would ideally like to have an advisor help me out but for little or no cost. Because of this I am thinking of investing in an online broker.
I am also looking for low or no commission costs.
I guess my questions here are:
1) can low budget ETF trading have high yield?
2) should I find a brokerage firm for this or is it a better bet to do the online brokers?
2) how high maintenance are ETFs? Do they need to be traded often? Will I be able to figure them out myself or should I get an advisor?
3) should my advisor be a person, an online broker mixed with my own knowledge, or should I trust in a robo-advisor?
4) I have been leaning toward Charles Schwab. Is this a good idea? And if so, should I go for the more basic account or spring for a robo-advisor?
Thanks!
