Investing long term, would prefer picks that aren’t etfs or bonds because I can afford more risk right now.

I’m looking to invest long term and stay active with keeping up with trends as well as news. I check daily to keep up to date. However, I’m just starting out. Favorite picks include AMAT, ADDY, MCD, BABA, MSFT,AAPL, and V in no particular order. Do you agree with these? Have any other recommendations and why? Looking for insight and just overall opinions because I enjoy talking about it.
