Hey everyone!
Some of you might remember me as the guy who used to do these threads where we took the top ten tickers posted and analyzed the charts each week. The discussions were always awesome and we had a lot of fun analyzing stuff!
This year I want to take those technical analysis videos a step further and introduce a new idea for helping the /r/stockmarket community grow, helping everyone (including me!) learn more about the markets, and helping bring attention to a freaking awesome new website I've spent the last couple of years building and that I'm super proud of.
Beginning this coming Friday, Feb 16th, I'll be starting an awesome new weekly video series in which I'll pick a stock that's been hot and in play for the week and do a brief personal analysis on it. I'll create a short video announcing the ticker we're going to be analyzing that week and giving everyone my quick introductory overview/opinion of the fundamentals of the company (which may be right or wrong) and a quick look at the chart and my thoughts there. Then I'm going to open up the entire site free of charge to anyone who wants to analyze the stock themselves so that they can dig in! The ticker we're working on will be completely free to analyze from when I post the video on Friday evening until the following Friday when it changes to a new ticker.
Now here's the fun part: Because everyone is going to be digging in and analyzing the company, I figure why not drum up a little friendly competition? So each week, once the video is posted everyone is welcome and encouraged to post their own analysis of the company and each week on Sunday at 8pm ET I will start reviewing all the analysis that's been posted, all the discussion in the thread and everything we've drummed up about the company. What I'm going to do is pick a "winner" each week - the person who's provided the most thorough, most interesting or most useful analysis of the company - and hook them up with a free month of access to the whole site where I've got over 20 years of fundamental company data on almost 10,000 stocks.
I'm hoping this will stir up some awesome discussion on in-play tickers in this sub, and maybe even produce some surprising longer term trading/investment ideas that could make everyone some money!

TL;DR Starting this Friday I'll be posting a quick video analyzing an in-play stock from that week. I'll post the video Friday evening, and you'll have til Sunday night at 8PM ET to post your own analysis of the company. Whoever posts the best analysis gets free stuff.
