Stock Watch: [Newbie] looking for help with cashing in stock

Hello. So, I have had this stock in at&t for over a decade. It has been growing ever since. Now that I am an adult and have a family, I now want to turn this into cash in my bank account. How would someone go about this? Do I have to specifically see a stock broker for tax purposes?

I’m lost.
