The guy running the show at KemPharm is a well-known chemist who used to be the head of Shire. His specialty is prodrugs and he has an incredibly successful one under his belt: He was the inventor of Vyvanse.
His new company has a Hydrocodone product called Adapaz. As opioid regulations tighten, it seems like an abuse-resistant product will increase in demand.
