I found a certificate with stocks from 17 years ago, clueless about it, asking for help!

Hey guys, I hope I can find someone that can shed some light for me on this, or point me in the right direction where I can get more help (I know I will have to seek a professional but I just want to get as much help as I can on my own first to gain some knowledge)

My grandpa has a certificate from 17 years ago. It's contains 197 "fully paid and non-assessable shares of common stock of $.001 par value each of"

The name of the company is "Global Sources Limited"

To my understanding this company went through at least one "split" I have no idea how that works in stocks. Also I believe this company was sold to another company called "bermuda"

The stocks were bought at 1 cent, it looks like it's most recent price was around 24$ so that's a nice check for us considering some of our debt. I have no idea what to do at this point and I have no idea how much we are actually entitled to with all these legal moves this company made.

I don't have any knowledge in this field so I'm just hoping someone can help out. I believe I can gave enough information needed
