Chinese and Hong Kong stocks declined broadly with the Hang Seng -1.29%, the CSI 300 -1.73%, and the Shanghai Composite -1.76%
Indian stocks closed modestly higher, with the Nifty 50 +0.01% and the Sensex +0.07%
Aussie stocks were in the red, with the ASX 200 -0.68%
