When and where does a company announce EPS

1. I know most companies announce their EPS during their earnings call. Is this the only place to announce EPS? If not, where else? Twitter, their website, thirdparty website?

2. When I check the earnings call calendar from Yahoo Finance, it is not uncommon to see earnings announcement time like 2AM EST, or 5AM EST. I don't believe people wake up at these times to do anything. What do i miss here?
