I noticed the stock has hit a new 5 year low and to fight back Tanger Factory Outlets (SKT) raised dividend to 5.38% and planned a 125M buyback over the next 2 years. Notable news that may have added to the recent downfall is the appointment of a new President, 40M sale of an outlet center, and most importantly the downfall of large retail stores over the past few years. I've tried to do my research but I'm not to familiar with REITs and haven't been following SKT or been keeping up to much with the large retail stores. The company seems to be very confident that they are a safe bet but it's hard for me to sift through the bull shit.
I would love to hear opinions from some more knowledgeable investors. Where do you think this stock is going. Time to buy? Avoid? I'm not afraid to be risky and my portfolio has been lacking a good dividends stock. Please let me know if I'm missing any other notable news.
