CSIQ Canadian solar going private?

Hello, I own some of CSIQ shares and read today the Directors have received a preliminary, non-binding proposal letter from its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Shawn (Xiaohua) Qu ("Dr. Qu"), to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of the Company not already beneficially owned by Dr. Qu. Can someone explain the implications of this. Will I be forced to sell, should I sell now? I've attached the article link for those interested. Canadian Solar Inc.
