I've got some extra money lying around, and rather than spend it on useless stuff, I'd like to invest some of it, say $500. I've got some money put away as an emergency "car breaks" fund. I took economics in high school, and I was wondering how I should go about investing, what stocks, and through which company/ broker. Thanks!
