New to stock trading. VMW what does the DELL merger mean for them? Buying opportunity?

I'm currently in school studying IT. I recently got into stocks and am learning the ways. VMW is down about $10, you guys think it'll bounce back? I'd like to invest in more tech stock rather than the Pharmaceuticals I've been doing with a mentor that only knows about those.
