I am educating myself on stocks and the stock market and day trading is the most appealing type of trading so far (I am new to stocks (and 17) so am probably naive and ignorant).
So first, is day trading a suitable stock trading method for a beginner? Obviously I will practise with virtual money to learn and see if day trading is suited to me.
What strategy should I go for? On investopedia I found this article which I found helpful, atm I think I will assess daily pivots to try and buy at low of the day and sell at high (or just higher).
What sort of money should I be trading with? How should I spread it? If I am good at day trading with virtual currency I will look at trading irl, for me it would be reasonable to start with £1000 ($1450). If that is too low then I may not consider day trading depending on how much I should be trading with. If you think it is reasonable to start with <£1000 please say.
What companies are good for day trading, are there communities I can discuss with?
Any other advice is highly appreciated!
Thanks :)
