HTZ just went through a reverse stock split, but can someone explain how I gained shares of HRI

HRI is the new rental equipment spin off of Hertz global. I received a number of shares of HRI while still receiving the correct amount of reverse split shares of HTZ. According to the statement, shares of HRI were provided at 15 to 1. Can someone better explain this corporate action?
