So basically I have a full time job, can't trade on the job (yet, it's a new job) and looking to possibly just make a few hundred extra a month. I'm not entirely new to the stock market, used to swing trade years ago but have been out of it for awhile.
Anyways, what are some opinions for people who can't really day trade? Crypto I think is out of the question due to uncertainty atm. The way I see it, I have 3 options:
Futures: Pros: Trades 24/5, if good could make a few hundred in a week without playing with alot of contracts Cons: Losses can get big real fast (I used to play oil/gold), and the market slows down when I would trade after work, much less volatility (I'm EST)
Forex: Basically same as Futures except I'd have to go through another broker besides TD, also I've found forex to be less prone to dramatic turns like oil/gold
Swing: Pros: Can leverage more of my capital, can put TA/DD to good use here Cons: Market not the best right now, would require doing some DD at work before market close, and I don't always have time.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
