I would like to practice stock picking by building sample portfolios and seeing how they would have performed over a twenty year period. I have several questions:
Are there any good sites with tools for doing this? Should I pick any twenty year period, or should I avoid some years as being too bullish or too bearish? Any other advice you can give me for this exercise?
