I’ve met two nice gentlemen who they claim they are long-term investors. They have been buying Berkshire Hathaway for over 10 years and have never sold a share. How does this strategy compare with short/ medium traders? I mean the stock doesn’t Generate any cash flow, so selling is the only way to recognise a gain. If you have excess cash, yes I understand But I don’t understand how people think they can make money from not selling a share.
