"Spotify Removes R. Kelly Music From Its Playlists". This is dumb. Am I wrong?

https://www.billboard.com/amp/articles/business/8455375/spotify-removes-r-kelly-music-playlists-new-hate-content-conduct-policy?sessionid=HH9WuJq47_D9SL9Zjni5WQDyvYhtgXpRc8UXJzmFs0A

Tldr: Spotify added new policies and is removing R. Kelly's music along with music in which he collaborated with other artists because of his sexually violent accusations.

Am I wrong in thinking this is stupid? Like, I want my companies to be more interested in making money over taking some moral high ground and getting involved in PR shit when it's not necessary.

I'm not saying companies shouldn't have "good" morals and not follow child labor laws or discriminate against applicants, but sometimes companies do not need to get involved in certain media-related events.

Of course I don't think this will hurt spotify much, if at all, but I don't like the precedent this could be setting for future company decisions.

Edit: typos
