I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask. I was deciding between here and r/investing and the rules there seemed to discourage questions like this. Anyways, with the growing hype with virtual reality recently and the periodic articles online, I was researching the best stocks to invest in. I didn't want to go with something big like facebook, google, apple, etc. due to the lack of perceived ROI.
I came across some smaller stock prices like AMD and SONY, and was wondering if those were the correct ones to invest in. For what it's worth, I'm sure you can tell I'm not very experienced in this category and was just looking for an opinion on what would be the best way to go about getting in on the market early.
If I'm an idiot and way off, please tell me.
