Hi everyone! So I’ve been playing around with $IQ stock lately. ATM I don’t have any shares, but what I’ve just begun doing is selling an in the money put for a good chunk of change that will likely be acted on. Once it’s been acted on and I get my 100 shares, I’ll then sell an in the money call that will also likely be acted on. Essentially, i’m not really holding any stock, I’m just buying and reselling with about an extra $100 thrown my way per week with the option values. Could I be doing better? I have about $7000 to trade with, so I’ve been doing this with $IQ and I’m thinking about beginning a similar strategy with $HUYA. Any advice is welcome, I’m just a novice!
Note: I am overall quite bullish on both of these stocks.
Edit: I know all too well that this is throttling my potential gains. My very first call i sold was a 25$ call on IQ, which skyrocketed to $42 by the time my option expired (sigh). But I’ve come to terms that I won’t make any massive profits, however it will (hopefully) be a slow steady gain.
