Sell my portfolio before the election?

Hi all, I'm a fairly new investor, took a course, read a few books, and mostly buy blue chip, dividend paying stocks. I'm feeling good about my portfolio right now, but am worried about the American election (I'm canadian....I have some US stocks (AAPL/SBUX) and some stock that are cross listed (SHOP). Most of my blue chips are canadian (RY/L/MFC/ BCE) and I have some index funds too.

My question is this: I'm up about 12% over the last year and a half, and I'm going to be going to law school in a year, and will need some of that money. I'm worried about a drop if Trump gets elected, or a market correction. Should I sell now, take my earnings and play it safe, or keep my money in my investments? If I do sell, should I sell everything, or only the things I'm up on (I'm down on a few things that I'm still a believer in).

Any advice would be happily considered! Thanks friends!
