Hey everyone, long time lurker here. I work in the Wealth Management industry as a stock picker, but I don't usually involve myself with biotech pharmaceuticals. I've been playing around lately by monitoring the FDA review calendar, and buying equities a few days before they release whether or not the drug makes it to the next testing stage. Most of these things either hit 100 or 0 after the big releases, so its fun, especially when they start at $1.5 a pop. Anyway, this Friday is a big day for a lot of drugs and I was wondering what you guys thought about the following tickers:
DPRX GNCA VRTX ESPR
I don't usually waste my time running analyses on these companies, because their financials are usually extremely weak due to small company size, and their reports discuss scientific jargon that's way above my head; this is mostly for fun. Plus, fundamentals rarely matter when it comes down to the spike after new news enters the market and is priced into the stock.
Even if you don't have any thoughts on these equities, I would love to just prompt a discussion.
I feel like I don't have to say this, but this is all for my personal portfolio, not for anything I would submit to my boss (who does think what I am doing is a fun game to play).
Thanks guys.
