Lithium Chile Inc. (OTC:LTMCF), (TSX.V:LITH) was a relatively unknown name sometime back. Now, almost every investor in the mining sector must have heard of it, and most, will have given it a place in their portfolio.

Lithium Chile holds 152,900 hectares across 14 salars and one “laguna.” Most of its properties surround the Salar de Atacama, which is regarded as the world’s most important lithium reserves. Infact, Lithium Chile is the biggest privately-owned lithium company in Chile. “Lithium Chile is one of the largest landholders of prospective lithium exploration properties in not just Chile, but arguably all of South America,” Lithium Chile CEO Steven Cochrane told Investing News.
