Beginner - where do I start? I read the sidebar. Maybe am out of my league on this sub. Is there like a stock_casual section? :)

I got robin hood, put in 35 bucks, and am speculating on penny stocks.

This feels really dumb, and I feel really dumb, and I'm about as good at it as blackjack. And I suck at blackjack.

How do I come up with a method to the madness?? How can I detect future patterns from previous patterns? Does it really help reading news articles and shit? What if it says "Company begins new project!" on the news. How the heck do I know whether to invest now, because the project will get good, or to sell now because the project will cost short term revenue loss?

I am just soooooo lost. But speculation is really what I want to learn. I don't really want to learn long term investing. I get it.. you put money away for 30 years in a safe low year over year return and you end up the winner. Pish posh I wanna buy the next Google/Apple/Tesla.
