HOW do you begin automating trading? Also, HOW do you quantitatively decide to buy or sell something?
I'm trying to figure out a lot of stuff for doing automated trading. What software do you use? How do you use it? What is the means that you automate trading? What languages do you use? Do you use stuff like MATLAB or Excel? How do you use it? Are there any more questions I should be asking but didn't cover?
Additionally, how do you figure out to buy or sell something? Same questions as above? Also, what type of data do you take in and how do you parse it into something useful? What do you parse it into? Is there a software to use for this?
