Trading on non-public information made available through criminal networks?

Hello, I'm wondering if trading on information obtained from connections in various cybercrime networks would be considered illegal. The information obtained is not sourced from an officer or employee of the company. It's usually in the form of special knowledge about a data leak or large DDoS attack.

I am not involved with the cybercrimes, I just hear about them before the general public.

If there is regulation forbidding this, could someone point me to specific statues/case law? Thanks :)

Stock market 2017 (preview)

Hello everyone, Maybe it is a bit early but I think it could be very interesting to think about 2017.

I wrote down some questions: - What will be the most lucrative sectors? - Economically, what are the expectations for United States, Europe, ...? - more questions?

Security Analysis - Benjamin Graham - relevent?

The book represents the genesis of financial analysis and corporate finance. However, by the 1970s, Graham stopped advocating a careful use of the techniques described in his text for security analysts in selecting individual stock investments, citing that "in the light of the enormous amount of research now being carried on, I doubt whether in most cases such extensive efforts will generate sufficiently superior selections to justify their cost. To that very limited extent I'm on the side of the "efficient market" school of thought now generally accepted by the professors." So is this book relevent to our days? Should I read it? Thanks for the input :) P.S. Info source is wikipedia

"The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham

All versions I can find of this book are with additional commentary by Jason Zweig, any clue where I can find this book without the additional commentary?
