Noob here, simple question.
I still have a hard time understanding how stock prices change, and how they do it so quickly. If Apple announces they're going to shut down production of the iPhone, how does the stock price all of a sudden drop? I've always heard it as the more people that sell, the more the price drops, which makes sense (supply and demand) except in order for someone to sell, someone else has to buy it. Isn't it a no-net-gain/loss? So how does the price actually change? I understand a decent amount about stocks, I just can't get down this very basic thing. Any help will be appreciated.

question about pharmaceutical companies and drug trial/studies information
I simply want to know WHEN the components of a study (i.e.inclusion/exclusion criteria, primary end point, # of participants etc) are released to the public? (before or AFTER the trial is completed)
This question became of interested due to Amarin and the press release of the REDUCE-IT trial for their drug Vescepa.

Old stocks
A family friend purchased 100 shares of a communications company that was worth $1 per share in 2003. Fast forward a decade of me being irresponsible in my 20’s and the family friend’s passing, I began to inquire about the stocks. I spoke with brokers from the company I believe traded to our friend, and his son, but I never received and answer. I’m clueless in this area and any advice would help.
