Hey /r/stockexchange , i've recently started playing on marketwatch to learn how to trade stocks but i'm having difficulty understanding a few things. I know that prices fluctuate depending on what the company decisions are, but i'm curious... if a company plans to release something and they offer a teaser, do prices tend to go up? or if the company sales increase, do the price of the stock go up as well? What is short selling, and futures?
