Since the drop, I decided to start investing. However, I am new to this and have no idea what I am doing. Please advise.

I just got an Etrade acount, can only invest about $100 per week or so. Where would you start if you knew everything you do now but had a low paying job and were limited to nearly zero capitol? Which companies should I watch for now? Which ones should I watch for once I can invest more? Should I stick to stocks worth $1-5, $100-300? How diverse is diverse?
