Definition of loss for lawsuit purposes

I invested in FB in March when it took the hit from the Cambridge scandal. I was overjoyed when it shot up over $200 and then held for the ride down when the latest earnings report went out. Because of the report, a number of lawsuits have been filed for class action lawsuits. Directly because of the earnings report, I lost almost 10k but am still profitable so I have no real loss. The class action lawsuits all ask for what my loss was, but since I don't really have a true loss, does this mean I should not join the suit?
