I'm new to options but I have noticed that companies reporting either in the week or coming week and are generally anticipated to do well, their stock normally trades up until earnings. Does anyone buy short term contracts and sell right before earnings ... my reasoning is because regardless of earnings beats, a companies stock can still go down and its unpredictable at times. Is this a safer route to go?
